The Soul Army,

The world has been hard to ignore.

I do my job and I go home. Pretty basic life.

I get in the booth, write my heart out and head home.

It’s easier that way these days.

Away from distraction and away from drama.

Everyone wants attention. No one wants to be themselves.

I’m choosing to be myself at all times.

I’m not a social person because of my upbringing.

I was always a pensive soul…

My style is blue collar.

No matter how flashy the music may sound, it’s for the everyday man.

The people I related to and connected with in the Bodega over 20 years ago.

The people that set the tone for my life.

No matter what I see in my life…

I still remember those early mornings opening up the Bodega with my dad.

The sounds of the gates rising and uncovering our opportunity for further success.

You don’t know ambition until you hear that sound.

Those people that entered our lives as customers and left as friends.

You couldn’t imagine who I am writing for.

My pen is for those people as much as it is myself.

My entire childhood was there for those people.

So you’ll have to excuse what my soul tells me…

It goes beyond me.
