I treat these moments like one would treat an All Star recognition. I got recognized for my hard work as a lyricist and Artist. I got recognized when I thought no one would appreciate what I had to say as a teenager writing in the basement. Sometimes it makes you look around and think "Damn, I really went through a lot."
But here I am, still standing and still rising.
Thank you to everyone who came out on an incredibly hot July 4th. Thank you to everyone who has continuously supported my dreams and my story and found something to connect to along the way. The dream didn't end July 4th.
In fact, it's only beginning.
